Now is your last chance! Surveys lock tomorrow, which means credit cards will be charged and final order counts will be tallied. You will not be able to make changes to your rewards after tomorrow. We have everything we need to start fulfilling orders, which means most backers will receive their rewards by March (international orders may take a little longer, due to geography).

Hey, $15 backers... it's not too late to get the physical version of Mothboy Monthly, PLUS a free enamel pin, a free set of coasters, a set of mini-prints, and free stickers... just for $5 more (plus shipping)! Personally, I think that's a hell of a bargain.

Here's how to upgrade your pledge:

Just open your BackerKit survey (click the link in the email that BackerKit sent you, or go here) and click your pledge level at the top of the page:

Then, in the top right corner, click "Switch pledge levels"

Then you can upgrade to a new pledge level, and just pay the difference!

After you switch pledge levels, you can choose any other add-ons you'd like and then pay for shipping. Please remember that some add-ons - like zines, large prints, and comics - increase the weight of your rewards, which will increase the shipping cost!

Whether you're upgrading your pledge or not, remember that there's only two weeks left to complete your survey. Cards will be charged and orders will be locked on February 1st. Even if you've already completed it, you still have two weeks to make changes to your survey, including adding new items or changing your delivery address. 

Just open up your Backer survey from your email, and click "Edit Your Order" in the top right corner.

By now, all BackerKit surveys have been sent out! Did you get yours? Be sure to log into the email you use for Kickstarter and check your spam folder just in case it got lost. Or you can always have the survey email sent to you again by clicking here and entering your Kickstarter email address.

Important BackerKit notes:

• Surveys will be locked on February 1st. You will not be able to make changes to your survey after that point, so please make sure your address is up to date by then! You can make changes to your survey, including updating your shipping address or purchasing add-ons, until that date. 
• Credit cards for shipping costs, add-ons, or BackerKit pre-orders will not be charged until February 1st as well. Please make sure your credit card information is up-to-date and valid by that time!
• We are planning to pack and ship merch starting March 1st. If our merch arrives earlier, we'll start sending it earlier. If our merch arrives later, we'll let you know. We want you to have Mothboy Monthly just as much as you do! Maybe more. 
• Mothboy Monthly and all add-ons are still available for pre-order through the BackerKit store until we lock surveys - tell anyone who missed the Kickstarter that there's still a chance to join in!

Addons!

Did you see all the new add-ons available in BackerKit? There's a few new things that we hadn't announced during the Kickstarter, including deluxe large prints and other bug-themed zines. We have restocked our supply of Fly By Night zines, as well - if you want even more NSFW bug action, you don't want to miss that!  There's so much cool bug art to put on your walls and bookshelves.

BackerKit Surveys are going out!

In anticipation of the arrival of all the bonus merch, we are starting to send out Backer Surveys! These will arrive in your Kickstarter email address from BackerKit. At first, only a few people will receive their survey, then everyone else will receive their survey within the next week, so please check the email address you use to log into Kickstarter frequently!

Please note: this survey is only for the fulfillment of physical rewards! Digital rewards and any other rewards for those who pledged $200 or more (such as adoptables and custom art) will be fulfilled after merchandise is sent out.

Mothboy Monthly has landed!

Guess what we just picked up from the printers today (after a 600 mile round trip journey)? 

Holding it in my hands was a very unreal experience - it really does feel like an artifact from another world. I am so excited for you to get it and read through it for yourself!

Unfortunately, every other piece of bonus merch from the Kickstarter is still lagging behind. You know the drill: supply chain issues, combined with both holiday shipping slowdowns, and brand new diseases (RSV, flu, etc) slowing down everything. Also, I had to prep and work a convention (MFF - thank you so much to everyone who stopped by and told me how excited you are for Mothboy Monthly!! That made my heart explode) which took two weeks away from me. We're hoping to have all the merch in house soon.

Since we hit so many stretch goals (woohoo!) and every $20+ backer is receiving more merch than expected, our January 2023 ship date will probably have to be pushed up until February, or maybe March. I don't have an ETA for bonus merch yet - but once I do, you'll know! Trust me, we want you to have this stuff just as badly as you do.

We even floated the option for shipping the zines as soon as possible, and then ship the bonus merch later - but that would be both an extra cost and extra complexity, so we're thinking it's still best to wait and ship everything together. 

This project was quite a bit more successful than we projected, so please be patient as we work out all the kinks (heh). We want to deliver a product that we are proud of, and that you will love, even if that takes some extra time. 

But enough on that! Here's some more info about the zine itself:

Mothboy Monthly was printed by Girlie Press in Seattle. They are woman-owned, queer-friendly, and have no problem at all with printing content both erotic and strange - Foxfaer Studio's specialty! 

I've worked with them before and they are fantastic (they printed the advance reader copies for the first Coelary graphic novel). If you're looking at doing a similar project, I can't recommend them enough. They completed this project WAY ahead of schedule - I'm used to the printing part taking the longest out of everything, so this was a huge surprise. 

I drove across Washington through some ridiculous winter weather in order to load up 9 boxes of Mothboy Monthly into my car to bring back home.

Thank you so much for your patience as I navigate this project through the holidays - it seems like everything gets crazier around this time of year, no matter what you're trying to do. I'll have more updates for you soon as I get all the rewards lined up!
